About Us

Who we are

We place God’s word, the Bible chiefly at the heart of our church, coming together each Sunday to read his word and worship God for his abounding love, mercy and grace, and to pray for the needs of our community, country and each other. Our church seeks to actively engage with our community, carrying the example of Christ while remaining open about our reliance on God’s forgiving grace.

We celebrate communion the first Sunday of each month, and we’ve been known for the occasional café service. We’re a warm friendly bunch, and we’d love for you to drop in and join us.

Real God Real Life

Our Vision

Growth: To grow the kingdom of God, a faith community of diverse peoples who live out in word and deed the good news of Jesus Christ, who will impact the people of Orakei, Eastern Bays, Auckland, our country and the world.

Worship:

To give glory to God through inspirational worship, knowing him better and seeking his leadership through prayer.

Mission: To share Christ through loving relationships and initiatives, making disciples of all people, ages and nations.

Caring:

Using our gifts to serve people in our communities in the name of Jesus Christ.

What we believe

The church is a community of those who believe in God the Father, in God the Son Jesus Christ and in God the Holy Spirit, who are repentant of their sin and who have been saved by personal faith in Jesus Christ through his atoning death and resurrection.

We believe in:

  • The true humanity and deity of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • The atonement made on the Cross by our Lord for the sin of the world.
  • The one true God, being one in essence, forever existing in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • The inspiration of the Bible and it’s authority in all matters of faith and practice.
  • Salvation by faith in Jesus Christ alone.
  • The person of the Holy Spirit as the one who sanctifies and who sets apart, empowers and imparts spiritual gifts to the church.
  • Baptism by immersion.

If you’d like to learn more about what this means, come join us Sunday morning.
