Kia ora Church whanau

These are strange times. I hope this update finds you well.

With Auckland now at Traffic Light setting Orange on-site Sunday services have resumed.

Please note however that those attending must present a government issued My Vaccine Pass

We understand with great discomfort that this means some of our family may not be able to attend services on-site. However we are committed to following Scripture, official medical, government, and local community direction in our nation's battle against the covid virus. In an effort to love our neighbor and keep the vulnerable among them safe, on-site services will be observing anti-covid protections such as mask wearing, signing in, and the confirmation of a My Vaccine Pass. To those off-site, we will continue to host services online where possible.

YOUR VOICE TODAY

warrenprestidge_profile_c.jpg

Warren Prestidge

"One positive thing about this Coronavirus thing is, it's making us think about community values.  And that's a good thing.  We're being reminded how interdependent we all are: "We're all in this together."

Jobs we hardly ever think about, supermarket check-out operators for example, have suddenly become "front line". More than ever, we're being asked to act for the good of all. Many, many people are putting in extra yards, going "above and beyond", for the greater good: health professionals, teachers, even politicians! Government and Opposition are working together. And over and over again, our Prime Minister is telling us all, "Be kind."

Kindness is a fundamental biblical value (Micah 6:8, Galatians 5:22, Ephesians 4:32). The Christian Gospel is very much about learning to live together as "one body", caring about and for one another.  More than ever, let's ask God to help us at this time.

Warmly, Warren Prestidge.

Your Voice Today is a half-weekly segment featuring voices from our Church community.

THE PRAYER TREE

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20 NIV

Stay connected. Share together. Pray together.

The Church prayer tree is a prayer network where members are regularly contacted by other members over the phone.

It might seem a little old fashioned for some, but for many it's a beloved opportunity to hear a friendly voice while in self-isolation.

If you would like to be on this phone tree please contact us below.
