Friends and Fellowship

10:30AM Every Last Thursday of the Month

Every last Thursday of the month around 20 people gather for a spot of morning tea, conversation and to listen to a visiting speaker present something interesting. It's relaxed and informal. A wide variety of subjects are covered and anyone is welcome to join with the group.

Community Events

From roadside barbecues to full-blown events Ōrākei Baptist Church is actively engaged with our local community on an ongoing basis. It's something we really care about.

We try to update the website with latest, but the best way to learn about whats coming up is to drop in on Sunday for coffee and a chat. We'd love to fill you in with the latest kanohi ki te kanohi.

Bible Studies

Sundays | Tuesdays | Thursdays

Dr John C McEwan of EBCWA leads a number of popular weekly Bible Study groups for a range of interests and audiences. Come join us for breakfast or an evening of  fellowship as we explore God's Word together.

Studies run during school terms, and Thursday mornings are English as a Second Language friendly (ESOL).

Christian Care Network

We collect non-perishable food donations for distribution amongst those in financial hardship. Volunteers from churches within the eastern suburbs deliver emergency food parcels twice weekly.

People from the areas of Ōrākei, Mission Bay and Kohimarama who are in need of a food parcel can call Christian Care Network on 09-521-5712.
